Oral-B ProfessionalCare 5000

Time for another review...this time it's all about the chompers, teeth, and pearly whites. Im going to give you a little background of my teeth...I will start by saying my mom is a dental hygentist...I am 30, as of today, and I have zero cavities...when I was younger I was a brace face/metal mouth, it was kind of a train wreck in there. I have been a traditional tooth brusher for years...I have also tried a Sonicare electric toothbrush but that was short loved...I personally didn't like the action of the bristles and it always lost all the tooth paste...just an irritation.

I would have to say my teeth are in pretty good shape...my dentist and mother have been trying to get me to buy/use an electric tooth brush...and it just so happened to be the one being offered as a review options...so here I am today. I am going to review the Oral-B ProfessionalCare SmartSeries 5000 with SmartGuide...I will be posting a video and a second post later on to note my progression with the new toothbrush. I have been using this new brush for a little over a week now and I am happy to say I like it. My dentist has wanted me to use it to help with my gums...since I neglect them when I use a regular old school toothbrush. Now my kids come into the bathroom every morning to watch daddy use his toothbrush. The Oral-B brush is very cool...in comes with a separate wireless SmartGuide that helps you time and adjust your brushing...it has a presure sensor that stops the brush if you are bushing too hard, which is a feature I really like. The SmartGuide helps time you on your brushing...it has a two minute timer that is set to 30 second intervals...it stop studdars the brush to tell you to move along to the next section of teeth...it breaks your mouth up into four section and shows you using a little circle diagram. When the SmartGuide isn't in use for brushing...it is a clock...which has come in very handy...it also has a clip in base that attaches to my mirror but it can still slide out and take with you on a trip.. You can also purchase different heads for the toothbrush that are geared towards different oral needs. My moms dentist office recommends this series of toothbrushes...and now I can see why. It is incredibly gentle and my teeth feel really clean afterwards...stay tuned for my updates.

Oral-B is offering a $10 mail-in rebate on select power toothbrushes April 29th through June 16th, 2012. Please visit OralB.com, for more information.

Princess tea...

The wife took the girls to a local towns princess tea party show thing...I have no idea what to call it...it involved glitter up the wazoo and enough sugar to stop the heart of an average sized man. Here are a couple pictures of this adventure...

The girls were a bit timid of the princesses...but eventually the wife got them all together for a decent picture...decent means everyone in one frame.

Loading up some fairy wings with massive amounts of glitter...we are still finding all over our house.

Huggies...they got new diapers and wipes.

Lucky for my I had an old pack of Huggies diapers laying around so I was able to do a comparison between the two. As I finished the old pack of diapers I remembered why I still had a pack sitting around...they didn't hold much at all. Sadly they leaked...not just a little but a ton. Rogue stood in one spot and said "uh oh daddy" and I watched as a little waterfall fell from between her legs...the diaper was no more than 2-3 hrs old...which I have been known to go much longer between changes. So the use of the old Huggies reminded me why I didn't use them anymore.

Now onto the "New Snug & Dry Diapers". They held up much better and had a substantially better leak protection. They fit a bit better when compared to the old style...but it came down to leak protection and it was far superior to the old style. The diapers didn't ride up on any of the girls initially but I haven't found a diaper that doesn't ride up a little bit. The girls loved the design on the diapers, which was Mickey Mouse so that made diaper change time a little easier until we ran out.

Huggies has also revamped their wipes...changing the textures to add efficiency to cleanup. The wipes work great for everyday cleanup and also for the really messy diapers. I used the new wipes when cleaning up after meal times...worked like a charm. Next I tried it on the sticky sucker hands...again worked without issue. Last but not least the butt test...it cleaned the mess with less wipes than the brand i currently use...the only thing I still dislike is the stiffness of the wipes but I think I can get past that if I amiable to use less wipes.

I was a bit timid about doing this blog review since the ad campaign, that was pulled, by Huggies was rather derogatory towards dads...viewing them in the light of incompetency...but they have since redacted their ad campaign and gave it a facelift.

Test them out for yourself and check out Huggies on Facebook at: http://on.fb.me/HQCj1x
