Yesterday morning I walked over to my fridge to grab waffles for the girls breakfast...to my surprise they were all thaw. What the crap this is a brand new fridge...we just purchased about 2 months ago, since our last one died. I then opened the fridge to find the little turds turned the fridge dial to OFF...well our fridge was off for about 15 hours. This sucks...grocery time.

All humor aside I believe ALL woman and/or girls can benefit from learning Jiu Jitsu. It is a defense fighting where you fight from your back and it doesn't matter the size of your opponent. Think about it...it makes sense for woman to learn this. As soon as the girls are old enough they will be joining a gym with their mother to learn this martial art.

Fast food...spoon above all spoons. It's a mystery...

Fast food...a necessary evil when raising kids. We eat fast food...maybe once every two weeks...its a pretty big deal when we get to go. So when it happens I always hope for perfection...in other words I get exactly what I order to perfection. Thankfully our options are limited since I refuse to eat at McDonald's, its been about 15 years since I had McDonald's last. So our fast food of choice is Wendy's. Who likes Wendy's Frosty's? Ooooh oooh I do...!

Heres why I am writing this...We got Wendy's recently and they forgot to give me a spoon. It wasn't that big of an issue seeing as we were heading home to eat the food anyways. I came to this conclusion...I hate using a regular metal spoon. What is it about the plastic spoon you get from Wendy's? It tastes SOOOOO much better. I have no idea the science behind it...but its true. I may be the only one but I doubt it.

Couch pillows?

Couple things...why do we have so many flipping pillows on our couch? We have a total of 11. And why currently are ZERO of them actually on the couch. They are stretching from one corner of our main floor to the other. The kids are throwing them...the dog is laying on one. What has this world come to? I think I have lost control...it is complete and utter chaos. As I sit typing this my kids are stripping of their clothes and throwing them at me...while they all chant " Stinky, stinky. Stinky, stinky." Well I'll be a monkey's uncle...they SMELL TERRIBLE. Well off to the bath they go. Good thing they know when they smell.

Every year we plan to send out a Christmas letter and card...well every year we wait till the VERY end of December and then we realize we never did it. Well this year we planned to be proactive about it. We decided that a Halloween letter and card would suite us better, since it is my favorite holiday. Well I am here to say it was "almost" a success.

Product REVIEW!!! (Review)

Our house STINKS...yes it reeks...nothing but baby farts and dirty diapers. We are always looking for the next new product that "claims" to make our house stink less...not eliminate the odor because we all know that is impossible. Well I got the unique opportunity to try out Febreze's new product called the Set & Refresh...I am happily surprised with it's ability to help mask the nasty stink.

I actually went out and purchased some before I received my free one in the mail for doing this blog...I have been using them for almost 30 days now...which is the length of time they claim to work. I would say they worked good and solid for 25 days...now it is slowing diminishing. I tried two different scents...meadows & rain and linen & sky. I liked both...I prefer clean smells over floral ones and they both hit the nail on the head. The nice thing about the product is there is no need to tear, rip, peel, scratch....nothing just open and put in the smell you want...

I have a total of three units now throughout our house...one in the basement/playroom...one on the main floor near our changing area...and the last one is in the girls room for those night or nap time poops we don't know about until we open the door and get a deep kick in the throat from the stink of a terrible doo doo monster.

Do yourself a favor and run out and pick up a couple of these for yourself...it is small and blends right into any decor...go ahead its time to get the stink out.

How do you do it? (Rant)

Is this a real question? What do you mean, how do I do it? Ummm whats the right answer? Is there a correct answer? Does any of it really matter? Almost every time I leave the house with the girls I get that very question. It baffles me...how do I respond? I sometimes want to snap back and go, "I don't know save me from this tunnel of despair I am in..." or "Their not mine I just found them wandering around." Just for shock value...too see how people respond. I live life the same way as EVERYONE else...one day at a time. I may have triple the responsibility of others but I use the same method everyone else does...just wing it.

We went on a family vacation with my side of the family a little over a week ago to northern Wisconsin. We stayed in a cabin on a lake and had some good ol' family fun. Enjoy the pictures...

Storm... (Pic)

Last Monday a storm hit our area that created the largest power outage in ComEd history...it affected 863,000 customers. We were one of the many who lost power...it started Monday morning and wasn't restored till Thursday morning. Trying to entertain three two year olds without power was an utter treat...NOT. The one positive that came from the power outage...we were able to clean our entire refrigerator and freezer. We lost all of our food which thankfully wasn't much since we just got back from vacation...

Wedded Bliss...or so they say. (Pic)

Well my sister in law is finally hitched and we attended the wedding...our arms were twisted. It was a beautiful ceremony on the beach of Lake Michigan. The weather was AMAZING...sunny but not too hot...couldn't of asked for better weather. The kicker was that the girls actually did awesome...very little if any grumpiness. I was on solo duty with the girls since the wife was a bridesmaid...but we stormed through and the girls were troopers. Here are few photos of the wedding that I took...

I am branching out...I am planning on starting to do different reviews...be it clothes, random products, playgrounds...you name it I will try and cram my opinion into your skull. As you all may know, FATHERS DAY is just around the corner. Why not get him a shirt he won't mind wearing. Most of you may know I am a avid t-shirt wearer...I always have a hard time finding a nice shirt that I like to wear to different functions...nice dinners, church, special occasions, weddings, ect. I am not a big fan of dressing up so trying to get me into a stuffy shirt is usually out of the question...but I think Land's End has the solution. Their new polo shirt is great...branching casual with a collar so you can pull it off at nicer things. My hatred for dress shirts is deep rooted in my DNA...I have found, maybe, two shirts ever that were wearable by my standards. A new player has now entered the game...Land's End Mesh Polo. The things I hate most about polo shirts is that they are ALWAYS to heavy, WAY too warm, and the collar always curls. This shirt fixes all those issues...the shirt is durable yet soft to the touch, it breathes very well, and the collar doesn't curl up. It's plenty durable and I don't think my girls will be able to ruin this shirt...time for me to stock up on these shirts.

I posted a few days a go about a family of triplets in need of prayer. Sadly the circumstances for prayer have changed it is still needed. Here is a HEART felt letter written by a father for his three lovely sons. Time to setup the scenario...Its about 3:00pm and the wife and I am sitting on the couch together. All of a sudden she gasp and say "Uh Oh"...I look at her and asked her whats wrong. Wife - "I think I made a mistake...I didn't put any pants on the girls when I put them in their bed..."
Me - "Why would you do that."
Wife - "I don't know. You think it will be ok?"
Me - "No...better hope nobody poops..."
Wife - "Should I go up and put some pants on them"
We pause and listen...its silent up there so nobody is waking them up with a good outcome...
Me - "This isn't going to be pretty...your on clean up detail..."
Wife - "What...no...wait...come on I need some hope that this will be ok."
Me - "False hope..."
Wife - "Come on..."
Me - "Fine...everything will be just fine..." (Break into a bit of fake laughing)

Well that's how it all went down this is what we walked into...

No diaper on...and no diaper in her bed...not a good start...pee on bed...

No diaper on BUT two diapers in her bed...pee on bed...

Diaper ON...yahoo success...ehhh we celebrated too soon...Poop EVERYWHERE. Yup she exploded...poo everywhere...down her leg and all over her bed...

I have finally found an outlet...moms have their mom groups and stuff but us guys like to hit each other...so why not join a sport where I can hit people...hmmmm...Rugby. Yeah that seemed like a good idea. Well I have never played nor have I ever even watched a match before I went to my first practice. It was a definite baptism by fire...wow...I was sore for about 5 days afterwards...my lack of fitness may have something to do with that. Then at my second practice I was told they had a game on Saturday and asked if I would like to come. I jumped at the chance...well this past Saturday I had my first match. The brochure never told me it would hurt so much...the matches weren't all that clean but no matter what it was all so much fun. I have never played a physical sport before so this whole getting hit part was new to me. Our first match was fun and the injuries for me were pretty limited...I only dislocated my shoulder within the first 30 seconds of the game...no big deal it went back in and off I went. It was the second game that did me in. Out of nowhere an elbow came flying in and my left eye went black I turtled up because everything was a fuzz and who knew if anyone else was coming. Once I cleared my head and stood up I tried to look down the field but all I could see was my own eyebrow. Yeah that didn't seem right...I walked off the pitch and headed towards the medic. I got quite a few crazed looks...that was my first hint it wasn't right. (See pictures below)

I was told by the other guys on the team that those were the two dirtiest teams they have ever played (7-8 fist fights broke out...I was in none of them)...on our way home I was in the most injured vehicle...player wise. We had me with my eye and shoulder...then we had a broken nose...and last but not least a broken forearm. Sounds like fun doesn't it? Who wants to join in and play?
