The Room Is Done (24 Weeks 0 Days)

Well here it is...Finally. It took forever...mainly cause I am a perfectionist. Many many many coats of red paint to achieve the desired red color.

Well we went to the doctor today and it was all good news so far. Megan had her first test for Gestational Diabetes and we will get those results in the next few days. Everything seems to be going good. All the girls heart beats are strong and relatively similar. Baby B had her fists up ready to fight anyone who came near...looks like we have some fighters in there.

Here's just a quick post w/ an updated photo of the girls.  Also as some have noticed we have a poll up with our top 4 names...  Feel free to vote on your favorite (Not that its going to change our mind).  Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful time with family and friends.

Baby A and Baby B were both laying on their back facing up but Baby C decided she wanted to lay on her stomach and look down.

Oh yeah the Wonder Woman symbol is almost complete in the girls room...I will post a pic once it is finished.  Fun times...

Merry Christmas (23 Weeks 0 Days)

Not a whole lot to post. The wife is still trudging through...

We went over to Megan's parents house for Christmas eve and we will be heading over to my parents house Christmas afternoon. The only big news in the family is that I now have a brother (in-law). My little sister got married this past week and it makes it a little easier that I like the guy.

We do have a few baby room updates: we installed a ceiling fan w/ light and the wonder woman symbol is almost complete.

Well for now that is all I have...I hope to post in the next few days with some updated ultrasound photo's...

The Room (22 Weeks 0 Days)

Not a whole lot of new news so I thought we would let everyone get a sneak peek at the girls room. As you can see no PINK in this room. I will also be adding a Wonder Woman symbol on one of the walls to kind of girly the room up. We also will be adding one more crib later on when it will actually be needed. We will also be putting in a ceiling fan w/ light this weekend. So the room is still very much a work in progress.

Here is our ever growing pile of baby clothes and diapers. We removed the doors to the closet and put the dresser in there to help create room for all the babies. Soon that terrible floor lamp will be gone. Wow, in this picture it looks like we live in a pig sty.

Here she is at 22 Weeks. Her next doctors appointment is this Friday. We should get official measurements on the belly on Friday.

Here is a different angle...she looks like a torpedo.

Get that heart a pumping (21 Weeks 0 Days)

Well it has been sort of a sit back and see what happens week. Megan was admitted, not to a psych ward but to labor and delivery on Monday. She went in because her heart felt like it was about to pound right out of her chest. She began to freak out because she couldn't get ahold of me. Which is understandable. After all the tests everything seemed to check out ok. (She went home an hour later) Our doctor stopped by and said it is probably due to the increased blood production due to the pregnancy. So even though all this seems to be normal the doctor would still like Megan to go see a cardiologist just to be on the safe side...she has an appointment Dec. 31st (first one available). Other than that it has all been pretty laid back and only a few things got thrown about in hormonal anger.

There was a quick ultrasound during her heart fiasco too check on the babies. Everything looked good and they all had their heads together which was a very sweet moment... until the ultrasound tech realized baby C was pounding the snot out of baby A's head!!! So we are pretty sure that this little lady will be appropriately named Rogue. Looks like a good name for a MMA Cage Fighter don't you think. She is the most active and is a VERY feisty kicker.

The only thing that seems to be bugging me is that Megan gets to feel them moving all the time but it seems as though I have the calming touch. Every time they are moving and kicking Megan has me come and try to feel them moving about...and with that they stop all movement on a dime. I hope they react this way to me once they are out of the wonders of the womb seeing as I will be at home with them.

Well here is a photo of Megan's belly on Sunday (20 Weeks 4 Days). I think she is beginning to show...

Level 2 CLEAR (19 Weeks 6 Days)

Well today was our level 2 ultrasound. It was verified today they are all three girls. Everything looks good with the development of the three girls. Another good thing was all the babies weigh the same which was 12 ounces. The pictures above are from today's ultrasound which was our longest but not as long as we expected. The ultrasound took about 45 minutes and was an in depth look at all the major organs of all three girls. The Ultrasound tech kept saying how active they were...it was hard for her to get some views because the girls kept moving around. We also got Megan's belly measurement which is now measuring at 32 weeks. It is expected that she will be measuring at full term around week 25. This ride is getting so crazy. Oh well here we go. Just remember keep your hands and feet inside the rides at all times.
The picture below is a photo of my wife and cousin this past Thursday. The wife was 19weeks 1 day and Maren would be just 5 days behind here. They are only 5 days apart with there due dates. Funny what three babies does to you.

Well that just about does it...ENJOY.

ALL CLEAR (18 Weeks 5 Days)

The CFO went to the doctor today and got the all clear for our trip up to Minnesota for Thanksgiving. She is feeling good...the doctor also told her she will more than likely be done with work at or around 23 weeks.

On an added note while at the doctor she had her belly measured again and she is measuring at 28 weeks.

Now all we are trying to figure out is some good names for our little girls. We have a few ideas but nothing nailed down yet. It is hard naming someone...you are the one who will decide what they will be called for the rest of their lives. I'm sure we'll figure it out someday. Good thing we have a little more time before that day will come.

Sorry no pics this post...but there will be more soon.

The Belly (17 Weeks 4 Days)

Well here it is the infamous belly of wonder... In some countries they deem it to be the ninth wonder of the world. Well probably not yet but soon...very soon. Not too much to post. This is a picture of the CFO's belly at 17 Weeks 4 Days. When we were at the doctors office on Wednesday they measured her belly at 26 weeks.

The picture doesn't completely give you the full effect but yeah you can tell she has some buns in the oven.

GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS (17 Weeks)

Here is a photo from today of all three in one photo...it is hard to see anything but it was the first one in a while where we got all three in one photo.

Well we found out today at our appointment that all of them are girls...so I will have my hands full. Here is the ultrasound pics of them...

Everything looks good...no new news other than the sexes of the babies. We will have our level 2 ultrasound at 19 Weeks 6 Days. The wife is doing well and everything seems to be OK. We are planning on going to Minnesota during Thanksgiving so the CFO will have a quick check up just before we leave and then we have our LONG drive up to the twin cities.
Hopefully soon I will be able to post some before and after photos of the wife's belly...so stay tuned.

Here we go... (16 weeks 6 days)

This is my first post and my first attempt at Blogging... I guess I should start off by telling a little bit about me. I am 26 and have been married for a little over 4 years. My wife is currently 16 weeks 6 Days pregnant with triplets and they are our first kids. We were unable to get pregnant through the traditional methods so we had to turn to fertility treatments. We attempted to get pregnant through medications with no luck so we then chose to do In Vitro. We put in two embryo's. Both took and one of them split. Lets just say we were a little shocked when we found out. Our expected due date is April 22nd.
Once the kids are born are plans are for me to stay home with the children while my wife becomes the infamous CFO (Chief Financial Officer) or working mom. She is a nurse and we decided it was the most logical choice for our current situation. Currently she is on light duty at work and is now down to 32 hours per week. I am currently a safety officer at a local middle school and a part time tattoo artist. Tomorrow my wife and I have a doctors appointment to see our kids and hopefully we will soon be able to see what sex they are. I will try and post ultrasounds and even pics of the wife's belly as this process goes on.
With this blog I hope to verbalize everything my wife and I experience as we go through this process of triplets. Enjoy.
